CACHC Membership

Criteria for CACHC membership include expertise in a relevant subject matter such as history, sociology, English, law, or race relations; a demonstrated track record of consensus building and collaborative efforts; a deep understanding of the UM community and culture; experience in commemoration and contextualization of historical sites; and a commitment to a process that is inclusive, respectful, civil, candid, transparent, and honors the UM Creed.

It is important to acknowledge that no single committee member will possess all the suggested expertise, characteristics, and qualifications that are considered important; rather, it is the committee as a composite that will possess these qualities and ensure all voices are heard.

The deadline to submit nominations for CACHC membership was Thursday, June 30, 2016. More information will be shared upon selection of the committee.
